SKIN79 VIP Gold Super Plus Beblesh Balm BB Cream Review

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Hey lovely peoples!

Firstly i apologise for the lack of reviews as of late, as some of you know i am currently unemployed and buying new products to review has been quite far back on my priority list!

Secondly, hurray! new products!

Today i will be reviewing the "SKIN79 VIP Gold Super Plus Beblesh Balm BB Cream"
I have been hearing SO many good things about BB creams and what they claim to do - so i finally bit the bullet and decided to go for a authentic Korean brand.

Its worth noting here, that while there are a few genuine western BB creams out there, most of them appear to be nothing more than tinted moisturisers! so if you intend to buy one, do some research first.

Claims:

  • Gold, Caviar and sweet almond oil provide nutrition deep into the skin
  • Presents healthy smooth skin texture with ingredients that correct skin balance
  • Protects the skin with wrinkle improvement + Whitening
  • Presents rich moisturized skin
  • Reliable UV protection
Directions:

Use as your last step in your skincare routine and gently pat it after application to melt into the skin.

My experience with it

Upon opening the box, the first thing that i noticed was the awesomely cool looking container it is in, its a pump top jar and its nice and easy to control how much project you squeeze out.

Upon squeezing out a little product onto my hand, i was a little worried at first... as per most products it looked to be a little too dark for me.

If you leave it sat there a little longer, it oxidises and looks to be even darker....

Worry not, things do even out... the consistency feels very thick on my hand, and when thickly swatched across my hand thats apparent (ew, i hate it when my hands get all veiny! anyone else suffer from this?)

I promptly rubbed it and blended it into my hand with my fingers, and voilĂ ! suddenly it does not look as dark!

Pro's

  • It really did even out my skin
  • covered my large pores without looking "cakey"
  • Skin feels smooth and breathable, important for summer heat
Con's

  • I would say this is a light to medium coverage, so use a concealer for any blemishes.
  • Its very Dewy, so use a transluscent powder on the top if you dont like shine.
  • I could of used it a shade ligher, but in the summer its not too noticeable.
All in all, i would reccomend this to anyone who wishes for a light product for the summer months when foundation is too heavy, as for the skin whitening and anti-aging effects - i cant really comment on that as of yet, however i can quite comftably say i am sure it WILL do wonders for me.

My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yoghurt Mask Review

Welcome back!
Today I shall be reviewing the “My Beauty Diary” strawberry yoghurt sheet mask.
Recently I have been taking more care to look after my health, by cutting out certain foods (well nearly, I still need the odd chocolate bar...who doesn't?) and looking more seriously at my skin routine.

I am one of the millions of people in the world cursed with blackheads and big pores, ewwies right?
It was horrible as a teenager, being called everything from “strawberry nose” to the good old fashioned “spotty”
Throughout the years I have tried all sorts, from acne cream to harsh exfoliators and yet... the blackheads remain.

Years of mistreating my skin in the pursuit of ridding my face of these polka dots of doom has finally taken its toll, I am breaking out and starting to gain dry patches.

Enter Asia's Answer

These sheet masks usually come in boxes of ten, however I only picked one up as I did not want to pay for shipping on ten if my skin did not react well to them.... this turned out to be a big mistake.

Claims

  • Whitens and refines skin
  • Controls excessive sebum secretion
  • Tightens pores
  • enhance skins moisture level
  • Suitable for normal and combination skin

Directions

  • After cleansing and toning, remove from package and gently place on face
  • Leave on for 20 – 30 minutes, then remove the mask
Massage the remains, if any into the skin. Follow with normal skin care procedures.

Such cute packaging, I am a sucker for all things cute!

oooh! its really wet and cold!
It's already pre-cut in the face shape, with holes in the appropriate places (*sniggers*)
Being on the large size, if you have a smaller face just tuck the edges around your face or trim the excess off.

I just couldn't keep a straight face, its enough to scare anyone!

It lives!!
Pro's

  • Does not have an overpowering smell
  • Very hydrating
  • Tightened pores
  • Feels incredible

Con's

  • Very wet so it takes a while to get used to.
  • Use in a warm room, as its very cooling.

In conclusion I would highly recommend this to anyone, it feels luxurious and has left my skin feeling absolutely incredible.
I would suggest using it during summer evenings, after a long hot day in the sun this would be like coming home to a mini spa facial in your own house!

In relation to the “Whitening” properties this product claims to have, it is a little hard for me to tell considering I am as pale as snow, however I do believe it has evened out my skin tone overall – I do not have those random pink blotches I usually have on my cheeks and if I used this every week it would become more apparent in my opinion.

Avon Speed Dry + Nail Varnish Review

Avon Speed Dry + Nail Varnish Review

Oh my gosh, as soon as I received this I KNEW I had to review it.
The product is Avon's speed dry + nail varnish and let me say from the get go.. it is absolutely stunning!

Claims

  • Wet to Wow in under 30 seconds! Now with volcanic rock. 12ml

I purchased this in shade “Mambo Melon” available here http://avonshop.co.uk/product/make-up/nails/avon-speed-dry.html and it is right on style for the bright neon k-pop style this spring.

Dal Shabet rocking the bright trend

Mambo Melon is a lot prettier than can be captured in photographs, the closest thing I can get to a description is “A bright neon fushia pink with a slight hint of salmon” you really do have to try it to see what I mean. Unfortunately in photographs it looks a lot more Red than it is.

The application is smooth, and does dry fairly fast.
Unlike other nail vanishes I have tried in the past ( and trust me I have tried a lot, can anyone say nail varnish hoarder?) this one only required ONE coat to get a nice even and bright finish.

Pro's

  • Brilliant consistency
  • Only one coat required
  • extremely bright
  • Dries fast (not quite 30 seconds)

Con's

  • Chipped within a day (add a top count to harden, unlike me“doh!”)
  • With the drying speed faster than normal, it makes it hard to “touch up” if you realise you have left a bare spot, it drags the colour.

All in all, I would say this is a very good affordable product perfect for the spring/summer and I would recommend it to anyone!

You made it!

Hello everyone! i am so glad you stumbled onto my little corner of the internet, pull up a seat, pour yourself a cuppa tea and enjoy yourself.
As you can see this blog is extremely new, and i am in the process of setting it up to be a Fashion, Beauty and overall culture review site.

I mostly love all things Korean, everything from their music and cinematic to the food and most importantly fashion and cosmetics!

I do hope you stick around, expect my first real post to be up very soon!

Lots of love,
Amelia xxx
